While OfficePlanIt + Olab Studio has been enjoying great success since its launch, we felt that there were still ways to expand our commitment to deliver a higher level of service to our clients.

All aspects of interior office space design are important.  The way each element within the space fits together in the whole determines not only the aesthetics, but also the functionality of the space.

With the opening of our new commercial lighting division, LightingPlanIt, we are now able to provide our clients with both the furniture and the lighting that make spaces comfortable and productive.

It’s our goal to completely revamp the old commercial lighting distribution model.  Providing the right product is one thing.  Providing extreme service and a huge knowledge base is another. Our 4,800 square foot showroom allows you to see the whole picture – model office set-ups featuring both furniture and lighting.  We made visualization simple by turning it into visual reality.  No guess work required.

  1. Brands:  How comprehensive is the selection? Besides carrying 6 major brands: Hubbell, Prudential, Lightolier, Juno, Cooper and Lithonia, we represent more than 450 others.  That should give even the most demanding project more than enough choices to ensure the perfect lighting match.

  2. Project management: Who takes care of the lighting project once the product’s specified? We provide the necessary project management to ensure that you not only have the best choice, but also a streamlined process from there on.  And because LightingPlanIt is part of OfficePlanIt + Olab Studio, the process of designing your space with the right office furniture and lighting comes together in a simple harmony that’s easy to live with.

Oh yes, we know that everyone promises the earth and that you may have been disappointed before, so we’re not going to make empty promises.  What we are going to do is to tell you that the basis of our philosophy is to exceed every service expectation you have.  We’re just as interested in you after the sale as before.  Of course, there’s a reason.  We want you to come back to us again, and to refer us to everyone you know.  We’re just not prepared to jeopardize our future with adequate ‘good’ service that anyone could deliver.   4. Hmm – how about pricing?  This kind of service sounds expensive. Not at all.  Price competitiveness is part of our philosophy too.  We know lighting is available elsewhere.  We know our kind of service isn’t.  But we don’t think you should have to pay a premium for what you deserve. John’s experience in commercial development and lighting industry spans 10 years and a variety of projects. He understands lighting from both the client and distributor perspective.  Beginning as a superintendent for  a large developer, then moving on to become project manager and then a distributor sales account manager has given John insights that prove invaluable to his clients.  John has worked on corporate accounts and facilities both large and small.  Some of these included AT&T Wireless, Country Wide Home Loans, Bank of America, the Irvine Company, Fox Studios and large home development projects in San Diego and Orange County.

John’s considerable experience in the lighting supply chain process gives him a wealth of knowledge and understanding and this makes  him an invaluable asset to LightingPlanIt.

If you haven’t yet heard of Rock to Stop Violence, or Michelle Renee, you’re about to discover an exceptional person with an exceptional vision.

We’re excited to announce that we’re hosting what promises to be a memorable kick-off party for the upcoming Rock to Stop Violence annual benefit event being held on  May 19, 2010 at the world famous House of Blues-San Diego.

Rock to Stop Violence‘s mission is simple: inspiring communities to stand united against violence through rock & roll music, art, and fashion. Proceeds raised by the benefit concert are distributed to 501 ( c )3 public charities focused on violence prevention and victim care.  In 2010 Michelle Renee has partnered up with Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation making the  beneficiary San Diego’s Chadwick Trauma Centre for Children & Families at Rady Children’s Hospital; the trauma center that was instrumental in Michelle and her daughter’s positive trauma recovery.

Michelle’s own incredible life experience, including her and her daughter’s dramatic story of survival and love after enduring a violent kidnapping and hostage ordeal, inspired her debut memoir turned Lifetime world premiere movie.   It also birthed a passion for activism and exceptional service to mankind.

After breaking free from the grip post-trauma had on her life for two years following the ordeal, Michelle began a journey that would bring healing to countless others. Through Michelle’s considerable contribution to awareness and the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for youth and adult survivors of violence and abuse, there is a message of hope.

OfficePlanIt and Olab Studio is excited to be partnering with Michelle as host of the Rock to Stop Violence kick off event on March 11th, 2010.

The purpose of this kick-off event is to give attendees the opportunity to meet and interact with the involved groups and sponsors, raise awareness of the organization, the cause and the Rock to Stop Violence benefit event on May 19, 2010 that will include performances by: Chris Slade (AC/DC) and his all-star’s of rock jam, Full Revolution, Jaden, plus a rock & roll fashion show, VIP Reception and silent auction.

Besides hors d’oeuvres and beer and wine, there’ll be:

  • opportunity to purchase limited edition vintage rock & roll photographs(provided by Morrison Hotel Gallery)
  • Meet and greet with band members from Full Revolution, models from Blew-Print Modeling, and the Rock to Stop Violence Team
