Mario Ruiz, Barcelona based designer of HBF’s linea casegood line, believes in functionality.  “Whether or not you’re being innovative, coming up with new ideas, everything has to function.

Ruiz remarks that working for the first time on designs for the Untied States, he’s had to be very open to input from here regarding how the work place operates.

What I’ve tried to do with this one line ‘Linea’, is to respond to the greatest number of needs that can arise in the market place.

Ruiz uses different materials to create different looks.  Dark, rich wood finish for a more mature, sophisticated look through to lighter tones and textures for a younger, more playful look.   He believes that the system should allow you a greater spectrum of possibilities to create exactly the right environment for you.

HBF’s focus with all their lines is the end user.  Ruiz says that he has been able to focus on many different types of users beginning from the same starting point.  Linea has been designed to engender calmness in the user.  The use of leather, metals, glass and wood have been well integrated to create a harmonious whole.

Linea caseloads reflect a magical blend of European sophistication and North American functionality that are perfect for todays growth conscious organization to whom both aesthetics and productivity are of paramount importance.  These considerations fit well in a variety of office and reception environments and provide enough options to fulfill countless specification requirements.

Glass walls add dimension

Incorporating glass walls when designing or reconfiguring office space allows for maximum R.O.I. in terms of space usage, productivity and aesthetics.

OfficePlanIt + Olab Studio recommends Alur glass walls, with their clean, simple, architectural looks and practical flexibility.

When organizations are transitioning from private offices to multi-use and collaborative spaces, glass walls allow the transition to flow effortlessly.  Smaller private spaces look larger.  Privacy is maintained while interaction is visually encouraged.  Spaces can easily multi-task,  gracefully accommodating everything from touch-down applications through to conferencing and dedicated offices.

Glass is timeless.  Elegant.  Simple.  Natural light and human interaction is facilitated – something with which solid walls simply can’t compare.

To explore the enhanced dimensions offered by Alur glass walls, please call 619.961.1800 or email.

Be in your element.

Most of us are looking for ways to be more environmentally responsible in the workplace.

It’s often the little things that add up to significant improvements in our carbon footprint. For instance, most of us try to recycle our waste paper, turn off our computers at night and switch off the lights when we leave the office.

L.E.D. lighting has long been known for it’s energy saving advantages, but unfortunately, until now, it hasn’t really performed that well as task lighting. With Humanscale’s introduction of Element L.E.D. task lights, that’s all changed.

The new Element L.E.D. task light from Humanscale is quite different from current generation L.E.D. task lighting.

  • Unlike other L.E.D. task lighting, Element has a single Multi-chip L.E.D. which casts a single shadow.  Other L.E.D. task lighting casts multiple shadows which can cause vision problems.
  • Element is powerful – it provides enough light to fulfill ergonomic requirements.  Although L.E.D. lighting is environmentally friendly, it’s downfall, until now, has been that it’s a lot less powerful than other forms of task lighting.
  • In addition, most L.E.D. lighting delivers a weak, bluish light, whereas the Element delivers pure white 3500 K light.
  • Element’s heat dispensing metal fins keep it cool to the touch and prevent risk of burns common with other L.E.D. task lighting
  • Element’s L.E.D. assembly is easy to replace increasing it’s useful life

With Inscape’s Scala, there’s absolutely no need to sacrifice quality or aesthetics because of budget.

Scala has raised the bar in the mid-price category in systems products.  Elegant.  Sophisticated. Visually appealing. Completely practical.  Well priced.  What’s not to like?  Especially if you’re forward thinking and don’t want to invest in a static system that may not suit your needs in a few years.

Scala is designed specifically for maximum flexibility so that it’s ‘future proof’.

It evolves with your needs, being easily scalable and has panel system functionality that seamlessly integrates with a storage spine.

Architectural in look, the long worksurfaces without legs create a clean, simple linear profile allowing easy movement within the workspace.  Scala works well for closed office spaces as well as more open collaborative spaces..

It’s also GREENGUARD certified, so you’re not only being fiscally smart, you’re also being environmentally responsible when you make Scala part of your work environment.

OfficePlanit + Olab Studio is your source for Inscape Scala in San Diego.
