While OfficePlanIt + Olab Studio has been enjoying great success since its launch, we felt that there were still ways to expand our commitment to deliver a higher level of service to our clients.

All aspects of interior office space design are important.  The way each element within the space fits together in the whole determines not only the aesthetics, but also the functionality of the space.

With the opening of our new commercial lighting division, LightingPlanIt, we are now able to provide our clients with both the furniture and the lighting that make spaces comfortable and productive.

It’s our goal to completely revamp the old commercial lighting distribution model.  Providing the right product is one thing.  Providing extreme service and a huge knowledge base is another. Our 4,800 square foot showroom allows you to see the whole picture – model office set-ups featuring both furniture and lighting.  We made visualization simple by turning it into visual reality.  No guess work required.

John’s experience in commercial development and lighting industry spans 10 years and a variety of projects. He understands lighting from both the client and distributor perspective.  Beginning as a superintendent for  a large developer, then moving on to become project manager and then a distributor sales account manager has given John insights that prove invaluable to his clients.  John has worked on corporate accounts and facilities both large and small.  Some of these included AT&T Wireless, Country Wide Home Loans, Bank of America, the Irvine Company, Fox Studios and large home development projects in San Diego and Orange County.

John’s considerable experience in the lighting supply chain process gives him a wealth of knowledge and understanding and this makes  him an invaluable asset to LightingPlanIt.

If you want to know just how committed OfficePlanIt + Olab Studio is to earning a reputation for being at the forefront of their industry, you need look no further than their current performance.

They’re moving into their brand new offices at the end of October – the contractors are still hard at it, striving to meet the deadline, and their official opening will be heralded with an Open House planned for November 12th.

However, not content to sit and wait,  they’ve already been hard at work landing another two prestigious projects to their schedule.

National Asset Direct supports the acquisition and management efforts of various investment funds in the residential and resale estate related asset classes.

When looking for an office furniture supplier for their new San Diego offices, they invited bids from notables such as Haworth and Herman Miller for the more than 16,000 square foot space featuring 102 workstations, private offices as well as ancillary furniture and trader’s desks.

OfficePlanIt and Olab Studio managed to trump all the big names with a project-winning bid that delivered what National Asset Direct was looking for: value, quality and an innovative approach.

President Jim Edmondson is excited to have National Asset Direct as a client.  ”It’s not just that this is a large project, but also, these are great people to work with,” he says.  ”On top of that, it’s exciting to think that organizations like National Asset Direct see us as contenders in a very competitive market place – even before we’re ‘officially’ open!”

The second of their recent successes in the market is the Geary Interactive project. “Geary Interactive has been ranked as one of San Diego’s fastest growing companies,” notes Edmondson.

“We’ll be installing work stations for about 40 people in their new San Diego corporate headquarters.”

Olab Studio, along with dTank, had the opportunity to tailor design this project for Geary Interactive who have 7 locations across the country including San Diego, San Francisco and Los Angeles on the West Coast.
